"More than 20,000 people celebrated Jewish culture at the last Festival"
The Greater Chicago Jewish Festival expresses the heart and soul of Jewish Chicago. For one single day it intertwines the sounds, sights and smells of Jewish culture and brings together every facet of the Jewish community; young and old, singles and families, regardless of their religious practices and political commitments. It is a day of celebration and tolerance in which we gather to celebrate Jewish identity and share Jewish culture with others. I invite you to come and be part of our "town square of Jewish Chicago" and enjoy the Festival with family and friends.

More than 200 volunteers help us on the day of the Festival, selling pop and t-shirts and working as cashiers and in the information booths. While producing the Festival takes a tremendous amount of work during the months leading up to the big day, we could not physically run the various activities without the help of these volunteers.
The Festival is produced by the Jewish Production Organization for Cultural Events and Theater (P.O.C.E.T.). The Jewish P.O.C.E.T. is run by an all-volunteer Steering Committee which consists of professionals in the fields of art, music, theater, dance, radio, television, communications, community relations, education, engineering, finance and law. The Steering Committee is always looking for volunteers. Call: 847-933-3000.

More than 120 major Jewish organizations representing all facets of the Chicago area Jewish community co-sponsor the Festival.
The Festival's budget is raised through private donations from people like you. There is no question that without these donations, the Festival would not happen. Whether you are able to contribute a lot, or a little, every dollar helps. We can now take donations online.
ALL of the revenues from the Festival go directly toward producing the event. No group benefits financially and no individual receives a salary from this Festival. The Festival is a community event, not a commercial event.
