Festival performers

For over 30 years the Greater Chicago Jewish Festival has been the longest continuous running Jewish Festival in America and the largest Jewish event in the Chicagoland area. We seek musicians, storytellers and dances to fill 24 hours of performance time on our 4 stages. , the Greater Chicago Festival has been a sought after destination for performers from around the country, Israel and other international cities who are looking for outstanding venues in which to perform. Application Process:

  1. Print and fill out Application form. You can fax, scan, email or snail mail your form.
  2. Mail in a sample tape (video or audio) or your work.
  3. A simple cd, dvd or video recorded at home is sufficient; we will not be concerned with the professional quality of the recording. If you would like your cassette returned, please send us a stamped, self-addressed envelope. Mail to:

Applications and tapes must be received no later than January 15, 2012 so that we may do an initial screening before auditions. Auditions will be held during April. Those performers participating in the Festival will receive a token honorarium.

All performers receive an honorarium rather than their standard fee, but everyone comes back to share the experience again. New applications will be reviewed by our Sub Committee which handles production on the 4 stages.
