Jewish festival participants

Artists

The Festival is a showcase for Jewish artists and/or Jewish art -- and our web site houses a year-round directory to Chicago area Jewish artists, many of whom have been Festival participants. Entries to the Festival must be original works and can be produced in any media. The Festival has over 100 artists from around the U.S. and other parts of the world.

performers

Since its first production in 1980, the Festival has always presented the best of nationally renowned Jewish performers, including, Theodore Bikel, Rabbi Joe Black, David Broza, Debbie Friedman, Peter Himmelman, Jeff Klepper, Lisa Loeb and Peter Yarrow. Alongside them have been an impressive array of local performers who add depth and excitement to the Festival.

Organizations

A major reason for the tremendous success of the Festival is the support of co-sponsoring organizations like yours. Through the efforts of organizations we are able to reach thousands of people with our publicity and truly bring together the Jewish community.

kosher food fair

Participants and visitors to the Festival spend the day experiencing all things Jewish in Chicago. No small part of this experience is the Kosher Food Fair. The Fair includes food booths from the widest array of strictly kosher restaurants offering everything from pizza to sushi, from falafel to shwarma and from sub sandwiches to shish kabob. Restaurants and caterers are invited to apply for a space at the Festival.
